Abstract

The aim of this article is to present a conceptual framework for studying the health of the elderly population and to discuss the need to undertake integrated studies for this purpose. It also contains a summary of a new project, the National Study on Health and Aging in Mexico (ENASEM) and mentions other d-bases that could contribute to these studies.
