Resumen

En este artículo afirmo que los clásicos efectuaron un proceso de exclusión de la naturaleza como factor constitutivo de lo social y como objeto de consideración moral. Es por ello que hablo aquí de una exclusión que obedece a motivaciones epistemológicas y ontológicas en la que se expresa una doble necesidad fundacional: por una parte, de la sociología como disciplina científica y, por otra, de la sociedad moderna industrial como forma histórica de organización económica y social. Finalmente, concluyo que la exclusión ontológica desemboca en una exclusión moral que sólo la crisis ambiental y su efecto político y cognitivo corrigen.
