Peer review process

Estudios Demográficos y Urbanos is a scientific journal with double-blind peer reviews. In other words, the mutual anonymity of the authors and reviewers is preserved throughout the review process. The particular characteristics of the review for each section of the journal are given below.

The possible results of the evaluation are: accept the text, accept with modifications, send to Notes and Comments and rejected.

Articles: the text must have two favorable reviews. In the event one review is positive and the other negative, a third review will be requested.

Notes and commentaries: The text is submitted for review by a member of the Editorial Committee, which must be favorable.

Reports: the favorable opinion of a member of the Editorial Committee is required.

Review and bibliographical commentaries: the favorable opinion of a member of the Editorial Committee is required.

Interviews: the favorable opinion of a member of the Editorial Committee is required.
