Abstract

This article comprises two parts. The first consists of a conceptual review of a classification of employment status, culminating in the proposal of a broader classification that is better suited to current reality. The second undertakes an analysis of workers without a workplace, in other words, industrial homeworkers, both because of an interest in the subject itself and to use an example provided by the valuable information existing in Mexico, that will permit the study of specific labor markets, to show how promising a detailed study of the various markets could be if suitable classifications were available.
